As the meaning of the word ‘social’ has changed. Not only face-to-face interaction is considered ‘social’, it has come to include social networking through many different websites.
With that in mind, on each ‘Social Carriage’ there will be a Wi-fi or 3G access for passengers. The signal will be concentrated on that one carriage.
This will allow people to use Twitter to communicate with other passengers without having a face-to-face interaction.
However, the Twitter feed on the ‘Social Carriage’ can be used as an icebreaker to encourage more face-to-face interaction and bring the conversations into the real world.
A Twitter feed will be on display above the seating so everyone can see it and join the conversation using the hash tag #TSC.
The conversation or comments can evolve and have no relevance to the topic. There are no rules to say that you must comment on the topic.
